these are really cool, there are probably 10 or so of them. young couples in love come to the tower, and either bring their own or buy a padlock. they then write a message on is that is to the tune of:

" i love you, baby.

you and me. forever.

always."

then they lock it on one of the trees and throw the key over the edge of the cliff.

signifying their eternal, lasting love.

..i just want to know what happens when they break up. it might be a bit difficult to to find your own lock again..

stuffs about this weekend

went on a trip with rotary this weekend!!

it really wasn't much of a trip.. but more like a bus tour. we saw the beautiful country side(s) of Korea for 2 days. wasn't what i expected... but was still nice!

this post won't be very long, i am very tired, but i feel as if i should share what i did with you all quickly!

[1] HOTEL ROOM

~walk into the room. see a kitchenette, a bathroom, and 2 empty rooms.

" Where are the beds? "

i asked.

APPARENTLY THERE IS SUCH A THING AS A STUPID QUESTION.

SILLY CASSANDRA. KOREANS SLEEP OF THE GROUND.

GREEEEAT.

it actually was fine! there were lots of soft, cushiony blankets as a "mattress" and strange pillows.

and 7 of us ( and a baby ) slept this way.

honestly though. the bath house was awesome!

just a massive room made of marble. showers on one side, sauna on the other, steam baths (at 45 Degrees! HOT ) in the middle. one was even filled with TEA.

YES. T-E-A.

we only got to use it for about 30 minutes... but it was so cool!

i am totally going to do it again!

about food cause im a fatass.

1: RICE. AGH

the rice here is actually SO amazing.

i thought it would be hard to eat it without any soya sauce, butter, salt, or whatever,

but now i can't eat it any other way!

^ i've tried.^

2: THIS SNACK STUFF THAT I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S CALLED

has honey and black sesame seeds.

and is yummy!

3): TOPOKKI

looks like one of the grossest things ever, possibly the best!

cylinder shapes: sticky rice cake that looks like seafood but isn't

flat folded pieces: fishcake... usually I let Ai Chun (my AMAZING friend from Taiwan) eat it. BLAH

red sauce: spicy, yummy, what else can i say?

4): HO DDUK

{ first of all, why is there a piece of asparagus with it? its a dessert. stupid clipart photo }

pancake filled with cinnamon and assorted nuts.
